An intelligent, inuitive app for how to get from point A to point B. Includes real-time MetroTransit information, bike routes and walk times. Some features are in Google, but are not accurate for Metro. OC Transpo in Ottawa has a good system for reference. Ideally, you should be able to use a GPS location, intersection, landmark or bus stop #, identify if you want to bus, bike, walk or some combination, and then select a destination and get times and directions. Would feature a "next bus" quick pick, where, based on your location, it would give you choices of destination to help narrow down your selections. For example, if at the Bridge Terminal: are you headed for Halifax or Dartmouth(x)? Towards Burnside/Bedford, MicMac/Waverly, Alderney/Penhorn/Portland/Eastern Passage(x)? Is your destination Alderney(x), Penhorn, Portland or Eastern Passage? -- next bus is #60 in 3 minutes at stop #X. Users would be asked for consent to collect data to identify long wait times between connections and other areas for transit route or bike path improvement.
