Shelter Manager

Stephen C on Sep 04

A app that lists all available shelter locations during a local disaster -- along with status of that shelter (full/accepting/closed/etc). This would include the ability of EMO and NGO authorities to request volunteers needed to help at that location, hours, contact info, items needed or requested from the public to help people in that shelter, request for transportation resources, and who can go there or should go there based on the area they live in. This app could be easily expanded upon to provide other information needed to manage refugees during a disaster. This suggestion comes out of my own work during the 9/11 disaster when the city was ill prepared to respond to the needs of that emergency.
